Through its Rural Development arm, India Gospel League (IGL) has been working in rural villages for over five decades.

The Jeevan Sahaya Nidhi (The LIFE Fund) was started in the year 2007. It was initiated with the goal in mind to empower a large number of marginalized rural women to develop small-scale business enterprises in order to attain socio-economic development through loans for working capital.

It was designed for start-up and existing small businesses. The program provides small short-term loans for working capital or the purchase of inventory, supplies, furniture, machinery or equipment.
